The Film, Video + Integrated Media program at Emily Carr utilizes a collaborative model of interdisciplinary learning and technical skill development, encouraging students to craft their education and to pursue their own interests in cinema and gallery based practices. Courses combine collaborative and individual studio work, technical instruction, theory, critical analysis, history, storytelling, professional practices and internships in community, gallery and industry media placements.

What makes Emily Carr stand out is that you are constantly being empowered to create content, and that’s key.” Kevan Funk (’11)
