The LOOP SHOW

This exhibition will be an immersive environment of projected video and audio loops. Use your animation, filmmaking, illustration, photography, art-everything skills!

VIDEO LOOPS  These must be original content and may be of any subject matter. All loop movies will be collaged into a wall-sized grid with other video loops with no particular synchronicity and allowing for emergent looping relationships.

  • video loop also has a still from the loop provided
  • multiple entries allowed
  • Original content only
  • Any size, shape frame (vertical, horizontal, square, rectangular, etc. )
  • A time length max of 30 seconds
  • No embedded audio
  • file formats preferred: MP4 / MPG4, high quality
  • file formats accepted: GIF, MP4, MPG, MPEG, MOV
  • maximum file size accepted: 20 MB

AUDIO LOOPS  These must be original content and are unrelated to the video loops in terms of focus. Presentation possibilities considered can involve speakers, headphones and live performance. This must be indicated on the Application Form.

  • multiple entries allowed
  • Original content only
  • A time length max of 30 seconds
  • File formats accepted: AIFF, WAV, MP3
  • stereo or mono (no multichannel loops)
  • maximum file size: 15 MB
  • Volume range: -24dB to 4dB; a medium volume will be set for the exhibition

Curation: Submissions will be curated by select Faculty of Dynamic Media. Qualities receiving the strongest consideration are those of engaging content and concept,  aesthetic relationship to other submissions, quality of media file, and work that is completed and finished.

Exhibition attribution

VIDEO: To provide attribution for the media we will use an image still and the artist’s name. A printed poster with this information will be displayed.

AUDIO: To provide attribution for the media we will use the sound file name and the artist’s name. A printed poster with this information will be displayed.
