All that was left (2012)

All that was left, was a text-based installation created for the Memory Festival at the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre (Vancouver), November 13-18, 2012. The Memory Festival is an annual exhibition and series of community cultural events that creatively explore public and private memory, remembering, forgetting and the nature of memory itself.

All that was left explored the limits of language as a vehicle for memory by representing words and phrases extracted from the other Memory Festival projects. These words and phrases were drawn with ink on rice paper ande pasted to the walls of the exhibition space. This project was shown with Jasna Guy’s Withdrawn: scribing Nancy project.
