I don’t understand how this even was approved if the communities were so strongly against it? That just shows how democracy doesn’t work in our country… and I think it’s a pretty big deal. This can risk the ecosystems of our northern rainforests, and so many creatures are endangered right now!!! Why are people so stupid to even consider taking this risk!!!! Why don’t people care about anything?!?!
people care… about oil! HAH. sorry i couldn’t resist. so this pipeline is actually being built? i was under the impression the Alberta Premier Ed Stelmach was only backing this IDEA and saying it will happen. alot of ‘good ideas’ never happen, so hopefully this is one of those cases. either way people need to make their outrage public and it sounds like the Haida won’t be making things easy for the oil company. (fingers crossed)
