Information Design Summer Intensive

The Information Design Summer Intensive is a virtual summer school running over July and August 2020. It focusses on design as translation and as a form of meta-reflection on studio practice in the age of pandemic response. Working reflexively within the very conditions to be explored, the intensive aims to engage participants to develop projects responding to the social, cultural, political, and health challenges of remote studio practice. Final outcomes will be compiled in an online exhibition format with a possible printed catalogue.

The intensive began in early July with a check-in and assigned readings, and will culminate in a 6-day virtual studio running from August 14 to 21. In time, more will be posted on the project theme here, and for information and registration please visit Emily Carr’s connect webpage for Information Design Projects, COMD 425.
