Inlakesh Alaken, an event organized by Joanna Ambrosio, one of our Masters students, was a resounding success. The event linked 3 sites – Vancouver, Guadalajara and Los Angeles – in an evening of shared video feeds, tandem graffiti and laser tagging. Photo documentation for the event can be found on flickr.

3rd Anniversary Mátika Magazine

ECUAD / IDS 2nd Floor – live video broadcasting + graffiti + fun – Vancouver + Guadalajara + Los Angeles – Joanna Ambrosio, one of our Masters students is organizing this event in the IDS.

The LifeSize Room HD video conferencing system arrived this week. We will be putting in on a cart with a 40″ HD LCD screen. The cart will have pneumatic wheels so it can be wheeled to any location in the 2 buildings. The cart has not arrived yet but the system can be used with some advanced planning (including testing).
Update: The cart has arrived and Simon has put it all together! We lovingly nicknamed the new beast, Robby, after Robby the Robot. …
