4D Design Creator
1. Open the Design Creator icon (tulip) located in the toolbar. You can also access this application by opening the QUICKLINK tab in the main toolbar at the top of the screen and scroll down to the Design Creator link.
2. As the design wizard opens there will be 6 options to choose from. Create express embroidery, create express trace, create express border, etc.etc.
3. Select the appropriate section according to the type of image you are planning to create. This is the largest out of all the applications
4. Depending on your selection, follow the direction of the Creator wizard until you arrive at your final screen. Similar to the 4D Sketch application you will adjust and rotate your image and have the ability to select your thread colour, stitch type, size, hoop, type of trace, etc before you end up at your final screen.
Before you end up at your final screen there will be 6 stitch types that you can select from. These are satin, appliqué, running, double, triple and motif. Each of these details will result in very different effects so tests are very important if you are unsure which to go with on your final piece.
5. After selecting the final details for your image, you image will open up in the EDIT forum. There are three icons in this section that are located in
the bottom left hand side of the screen. They are CREATE, EDIT, PICTURE.
7. In the Edit section you will notice that it will list all the stitch information on the left hand side of the screen. Using the filter tools located on the other side of the screen you can make a necessary adjustments to you design as you see fit.
8. The Picture tab will allow you to apply different effects and filters to your image. The Effects box and the additional filters are located on the right hand side of the screen.
9. The Create tab is essentially a preview guide. It will display all your image in its entirety allowing you to see what it will look like with your adjustments. This is a nice detail as you can see in detail any changes you may need to still make if necessary.
10. Now after you have made all you necessary changes and adjustments,
locate the 3D icon in the toolbar and save your image as at .dst file on your USB stick. You are now ready to embroider!
