4D Fabric Decorator

1. Open the Fabric Decorator icon ( star) located in the toolbar. You can also open this application by opening the QUICKLINK tab in the main toolbar at the top of the screen and scroll down to the Fabric Decorator link.

2. As you open this section the design wizard will begin and list three options to choose from. ie/ create fabric, create motif, etc.

3. Select the appropriate section according to the imagery you plan to work with or plan to build.

4.  From here it will open up into a section where you have the option to manipulate and adjust the motifs you would like to work with. There are hundreds to choose from if you are looking to build from a stock image.  You literally have the option to determine you images height, width, proportion, spacing, etc.)

5.  Once you have selected your imagery and made all the necessary adjustments you are then lead to the next section, which is OUTPUT options. This allows you to select your hoop size, add a border (or not), thread colour, shape/size, stitch length, etc. etc.

6. Next you will finish this application at the EXPORT options page.  By selecting the disc icon, this will allow you to save you image as a .dst file.

Once you have saved your image on your USB stick, select the finish button so you can terminate your session.

NOTE: Please keep in mind that if you image is large it may have to be rotated so that it can be stitched according the hoop size.
