I have organized these notes according to the steps that I teach about Premiere in class, from the first introductory steps on, and as they pertain to independent animation production. I’ve attempted to arrange things thematically, according to the following table of contents:
- Establishing a project folder and Premiere project
- Importing images, including:
- An image sequence
- Still images
- To change the duration of still images before you import them
- To change the duration of images and movies in the Timeline
- To add a colour matte to the Project Window
- Quick Playback, the “J-K-L” keys
- To tap a beat and identify the tempo in the Timeline
- To scale footage, including:
- By hand
- Using the Motion effect
- Adjusting the Levels to make tonal changes
- Colour correction
- Applying a colour key
- Adding Footsteps to an Animated Character and Assigning Them to a Sub-Mix
- Using keyframes
- To export QuickTime movies
