Active Threats

An active threat on our campus can be defined as a situation that is occurring whereby a person or persons are on campus and armed with the intent to cause harm to an individual or multiple individuals.

Information contained in the Emergency Procedures Handbook outlines what individuals can do to try and protect themselves should they find themselves in such as situation.  It can be downloaded here Emergency Procedures Handbook.

It is important to note that in the vast majority of cases, the offenders are typically related to the community they seek to impact, and that there have been a number of incidents or behaviors of concern that individuals within a community are aware of.  For that reason, the University encourages the reporting of any concerning behavior/s to any member of it’s Threat Assessment Team or Security.  More information is located here:
