Fresh Almond Milk

Soak one cup almonds for at least a few hours, then drain and rinse. Put almonds into a high-powered blender (I use a nutribullet), add about three cups water, blend until the almonds are ground very fine. Put a nylon or cotton nut milk bag or muslin bag in a bowl pour nut milk through the bag into the bowl, squeeze out as much milk as possible. Pour the milk into a jug and ta-da! If you want to add sweetener or you are making chocolate milk pour the milk back into the blender, add sweetener (and cocoa for chocolate milk), blend and you’re done.
