Presented by the Vegan Congress guest, Celena McCarty, private vegan/gluten free chef and plant-based nutrition and lifestyle coach along with Dr. Jasmine Hall, NB, licensed Naturopathic Physician, will discuss basic vegan nutrition and how to meet your nutrient and caloric requirements, plus provide budget-friendly food recipes, storage ideas, shopping tips and more. There will be a food demo, samples, and time for Q&A. This event is sponsored by the ECU Wellness Committee and Hippie Snacks.

Celena’s McCarty Bio:

Celena McCarty is an expert Vegan/Gluten-free Private Chef, Plant-based Nutritional consultant, and certified Wellness Coach. With a holistic range of services, she can guide you to more healthy and delicious eating habits, while also supporting you through the transition to an enriching and well-balanced life.



Dr. Jasmine Hall, ND Bio:

Dr. Jasmine Hall is a Toronto-trained, licensed Naturopathic Physician with a degree in Biological Sciences that had a strong focus on Cellular and Molecular Biology and Biochemistry from the University of Calgary.  Dr. Hall is the founder of 2 clinics that help patients with chronic illness by utilizing both integrative and orthomolecular medicine.  She has a personal and professional interest in supporting plant-based lifestyles.

Julie Andreyev is an artist whose recent area of practice called Animal Lover, www.animallover.ca, explores animal creativity and communication through modes of interspecies collaboration and multi-species technologies. Her work has been shown around the world, and is supported by The Canada Council for the Arts, and The Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. She is Associate Professor at Emily Carr University of Art + Design in Vancouver, and leads on the research project Wild Empathy.
