Danielle is a second year student studying critical and cultural practice, with a focus in curatorial studies. She is from Vancouver, and is happy to be attending university and practicing art in her home town. Outside of art school, she enjoys cake decorating, singing, and a variety of other silly hobbies. She also cares deeply about social issues around mental health, the queer community, and multiracial identity.
She has a very interdisciplinary practice, and has worked in drawing, painting, installation, printmaking, photography, film, writing, and more! Writing, to her, is a way to express ideas fluidly and externalize feelings, experiences, and creativity so that they can be shared and developed and understood. Writing can seem really scary, but Danielle’s goal is to help de-mystify the experience and, hopefully, make it fun.
