About the Writing Centre

The Writing Centre is available to all students, staff and faculty at Emily Carr University. We work with you one on one to help you develop your reading, writing, critical thinking, and research skills. This is a free, voluntary, and confidential service.

Writing Centre instructors can help you at every stage of your writing, from developing ideas to final revision. This applies to any kind of writing, from a three line artist's statement to a thirty page academic paper.

The Writing Centre is for everyone, from novice writers to the advanced. Our tutors are highly trained to help you identify and improve those areas that are causing you the most problems with your writing.
