Meet Your Tutor: Lucy Kinsella

Lucy is a third year visual arts major with a focus in printmaking, she currently works solely with silkscreen to create pieces on both paper and textiles. Lucy’s love of poetry and language is often reflected in her work through visual rhythm or sections of text encapsulated within image. Lucy prides herself on her empathy and ability to look at complex problems in a new light. When it comes to tutoring, in both academic and creative writing, she strives to help the writer identify what about the assignment they find exciting. She strongly believes that in order to create something that the writer will value, there must be a sense of confidence, understanding and care put into a text, and she hopes she can work alongside the writer to achieve those things.
